Ajax will restore its classic emblem starting from the next season.

Ajax has announced that starting next season, it will return to its classic club emblem.

The Dutch club used the classic logo from 1928 to 1991 and on March 18, Ajax will celebrate the club's 125th anniversary.

“We know that most of our fans have wanted this for years, and we decided that the 125th anniversary is the perfect time to delight ourselves and our supporters with the return of the classic logo,” said Ajax's CEO Menno Geelen.

After 11 matches, Ajax currently holds third place in the Eredivisie standings with 26 points.
