CSKA midfielder and the Russian national team player Ivan Oblyakov stated that the players are pleased with the results of all the national team matches in 2024, as they managed to score many goals and not concede in each of them.
“We all know and understand that finding and agreeing with opponents is not easy right now – many teams have official games and tournaments. It’s great that we were able to play against the Serbian national team in the spring – one of the strongest teams we’ve faced! We had a good match, but the opponent's red card early in the game certainly impacted the outcome. Overall, we are satisfied with the results of all the games – we are not conceding and scoring a lot of goals,” Oblyakov was quoted by TASS.
In 2024, the Russian national team played five matches – against Serbia (4:0), Belarus (4:0), Vietnam (3:0), Brunei (11:0), and Syria (4:0). Oblyakov participated in all matches except the one against the Syrians.
