Russian coach Valery Gazzaev shared his thoughts on the decision of the national team coach Valery Karpin not to call up Akron forward Artem Dzyuba to the national team.
“I believe that Dzyuba would have scored at least two or three goals against Brunei. I think Valery Karpin should have and was obligated to accommodate him,” Gazzaev is quoted by “Komsomolskaya Pravda Sport.”
The 36-year-old forward expressed his desire to play for the Russian national team to break Alexander Kerzhakov's scoring record (30 goals) for the national team.
