Former Spartak captain Denis Glushakov stated that he would like to enroll his son in the academy of the red-and-whites.
On October 8, a boy was born to Glushakov's family and CSKA footballer Ksenia Kovalenko.
“I would gladly send my son to the Spartak academy. However, my wife plays for CSKA. The final decision is always mine. But there’s also a person (my son) who will choose where he wants to go. Therefore, it’s important to instill traditions from a young age. We will dress him in the right colors—red and white,” Glushakov told RIA Novosti.
Glushakov played for Spartak from 2013 to 2019. During his time with the red-and-whites, he became the champion of Russia and the holder of the Super Cup. Currently, the 37-year-old Glushakov plays for SKA-Rostov in the media league. Meanwhile, his contract with Khimki remains active, and he continues to be listed in the club’s roster.
