Football agent Timur Gurtskiy commented on the dismissal of Tomas Amaral from the position of sporting director at Spartak.
On November 10, the press service of the Moscow club announced the resignation of the Portuguese specialist, who had held the position of sporting director for the red-and-whites since the end of 2023. According to RBK Sport, there was dissatisfaction with Amaral's performance in the transfer market within Spartak.
“I would appoint Alexander Samedov as sporting director. He is a true Spartak supporter. Samedov has undergone two years of very tough practice at Fakel, and he knows how to save money. For him, stealing from Spartak is not a goal. He would feel ashamed when you ask him the question: aren’t you ashamed of this? He would genuinely feel ashamed. Amaral doesn’t care about any of this,” Gurtskiy is quoted by RB Sport.
The former Spartak midfielder Samedov has served as senior scout at Fakel since June 2022. Additionally, the 40-year-old specialist is undergoing training at the RFU academy, A-Uefa + B-Uefa for professional players.
