In the upcoming friendly matches, only two representatives from Lokomotiv-Kuban will play for the Russian national team: Vladislav Emchenko and Andrey Martyuk. Four other players included in the extended national team roster have been granted rest. This includes Vsevolod Ishchenko, Anton Kvitkovskiy, Kirill Temirov, and Kirill Yelatontsev.
“We understand the challenges faced by Lokomotiv. They have terrible logistics due to the closed airport in Krasnodar, which places an additional burden on the players. Zoran Lukic is in touch with Andrey Vedischev. Together they assessed which players are most needed for this camp, ultimately deciding on Emchenko and Martyuk. The other guys will be recovering from minor injuries during this break. There’s nothing alarming about this; everything is handled on a case-by-case basis. We maintain individual contact with each club. And I want to remind everyone that on November 20 and 22 in Moscow, there will be a unique opportunity to watch our national team play,” said RB president Andrey Kirilenko in the corridors of the "Expo Basketball" forum in Chelyabinsk.
The Russian national team will compete against Tunisia and Libya. Today, November 18, the national team is gathering in Novogorsk.
