The Russian Defense Ministry reported a retaliatory strike on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' long-range weapons.

Russian military units have conducted a series of strikes this week targeting locations where the Ukrainian army has deployed Western long-range weapon systems, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. They further stated that these actions were a response to attacks deep within Russian territory.

On November 25, five launchers of the multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) using long-range ATACMS missiles were destroyed by Iskander ballistic missiles near Sumy. The Ministry of Defense clarified that among them were two MLRS launchers and a transport-loading vehicle. The equipment was struck in the vicinity of the village of Tokari, located 8 km northwest of the city of Sumy.

Additionally, three HIMARS MLRS launchers were eliminated within the settlement of Maly Bobryk, situated 20 km southeast of Sumy, along with up to 30 combat crew specialists of these launchers.

The Ministry of Defense also reminded about the launches of Iskanders on November 25 and 26, during which two launchers with Grom-2 ballistic missiles, as well as a launcher and transport-loading vehicle of the Ukrainian Navy's Neptune anti-ship complex, were destroyed near the village of Novomikhailivka in the Odessa region.

Moreover, during the strike by Iskanders on the base of one of the units of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Ukrainian army in Odessa, 72 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed, including nine specialists from France.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense reported that one of the strikes was carried out yesterday, November 28, targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure and defense industry enterprises with 90 missiles and hundreds of "Geran-2" drones. Seventeen Ukrainian military industrial sites were hit.

Authorities in the Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Odessa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad regions reported attacks on energy facilities on November 28. In Lviv, 523,000 households were left without electricity, while in the Rivne region, 681 localities (nine of which also lost water supply) experienced outages. In the Khmelnytskyi region, the Shepetivka and Khmelnytskyi districts were partially left without power.
