Former Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov commented on the victory of UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309.
“The win was impressive,” Nemkov stated in an interview with “SE.” — “He displayed an incredible fight, showcasing a high level. His versatility and vast skill set are evident, which speaks to his greatness. Jones started with two body shots, then took it to the ground, where his elbows were extremely powerful. Miocic tried to get up, but Jones maintained control. It takes a lot of energy to do that, especially when you haven’t fought for a long time. Plus, escaping from under Jones is very difficult. In the second and third rounds, he kept striking the body, just breaking Miocic's wind and internal organs. Jones systematically and technically targeted the legs, body, and head.”
Jones knocked out Miocic in the third round. The fighters headlined UFC 309, which took place on the night of November 17 in New York.
