Французская прокуратура требует для актера из «Астерикса» пять лет лишения свободы за участие в ДТП.

The French prosecutor has requested a five-year prison sentence for actor Pierre Palmade, known for his role as musician Conserto in the film "Asterix and Obelix vs. Caesar." This information was reported by the BFMTV channel.

The accident occurred on February 10 of last year in the Seine-et-Marne department. The actor, who was behind the wheel, lost control and crashed into another vehicle, resulting in serious injuries to three passengers, including a pregnant woman who lost her baby. At the time of the incident, Palmade was under the influence of drugs.

Following his arrest, the actor suffered a stroke and underwent treatment before being placed under supervision. Prior to the trial, Palmade expressed his apologies to the victims and stated that he had stopped using drugs and alcohol.

The prosecution has demanded a five-year prison sentence with a three-year probation period. The prosecutor also noted the unintentional loss of life since a passenger lost her baby; however, the court rejected this demand. Had it been accepted, the actor could have faced up to 14 years in prison.

In July, the adopted son of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was involved in an accident when he was hit by a car. The young man neglected safety precautions and did not wear a helmet while riding his bicycle. The driver called for an ambulance and the police.
