Former captain of Spartak, Yegor Titov, in an interview with "SE" praised the team's head coach, Dejan Stankovic.
— Let’s go back to yesterday’s derby. Did all of Stankovic's decisions on the lineup work out?
— I have mentioned before that Stankovic managed to stabilize the lineup. Essentially, he made only one forced substitution in the center of defense—Duarte instead of Litvinov. Otherwise, the Serb doesn’t switch players around haphazardly. He has placed his trust in certain players and continues to do so. This clearly sets him apart positively from Abaskal, who could change up to five players. I was impressed by the perfect pass from Markinhos, who was sometimes criticized. I would like to see the newcomers play consistently. Overall, we witnessed an ideal half. Not just a half, but the first 30-35 minutes.
— Can we say that yesterday Umyarov "neutralized" the main star of Lokomotiv, Batrakov?
— I would highlight not only Nail but the entire team. The red-and-whites played confidently for most of the match! The whole team performed magnificently. We must give credit to the coaching staff for preparing the players so well for the derby. Yes, there were about 15 minutes in the second half that were concerning when Lokomotiv was coming back into the game. But then everything returned to normal. A well-deserved result! You know, yesterday Moscow was definitely red and white! The hockey Spartak was trailing Vityaz 0:3, 1:4, but ultimately won 5:4. You see, in one day both the hockey players and the footballers scored five (smiles).
