The police have detained two residents of the Astrakhan region, suspected of attacking the head coach of "Leningradets," Vadim Yevseev, and his assistant, Alexander Shmarko, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
It has been reported that the detained individuals, born in 2002 and 2003, are identified as the instigators of the incident and have been taken to the police station. Currently, a procedural check is underway.
On the night of November 18, it became known that Yevseev and Shmarko were attacked in "Astrakhan" using a cold weapon and pepper spray. On November 17, "Leningradets" played against "Volgar" (1:1) in a match of the 18th round of the second league.
Yevseev and Shmarko were hospitalized after the attack. They have now been discharged from the hospital.
