The CEO of Lokomotiv, Vladimir Leonchenko, stated that the Moscow club will be eligible to receive FIFA solidarity payments for the development of midfielder Alexey Miranchuk after the transfer of the player from the Italian club Atalanta to the American club Atlanta has been verified.
“Regarding Alexey Miranchuk: first, his new club from MLS must make the payment to Atalanta, after which we will receive the calculation from the new FIFA body responsible for compensation payments regarding solidarity contributions. We do not have such a calculation yet; it is possible that the transaction between the American and Italian clubs has not yet occurred, or the verification process is still taking place within the regulations of the international federation. There is also a question regarding goalkeeper Khudyakov; we were supposed to receive compensation for his training last summer, but the player's electronic passport is still in the 'Validation' stage,” Leonchenko told TASS.
On July 30, Miranchuk moved from Atalanta to Atlanta, signing a contract until the end of 2027. The 29-year-old player had been with the Italian club since 2020 and became the winner of the UEFA Europa League last season.
