Olympic champion Bliznyuk spoke about her serious illness.
Винер собрала всех и заявила: «Близнюк умирает...». Олимпийская чемпионка по художественной гимнастике поделилась информацией о серьезной болезни.

Today, on the author channel "Without Water" on YouTube, hosted by "Sport Express" columnist and three-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Alla Shishkina, an interview with Anastasia Bliznyuk, a two-time Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, six-time world championship winner, and coach of the Chinese national team, who won gold in the team all-around at the 2024 Paris Games, was released. She shared her experience of battling a severe kidney disease.

— What helped you pull through? Do you have a strong guardian angel? — Bliznyuk asked.

— I think it was all of that combined. Starting from the treatment when we arrived in Germany. They immediately took me straight to the emergency room. They started dialysis right away. They said they didn’t care about the test results from Moscow; they would redo all the tests. It was very responsible of them. Of course, the doctors played a crucial role. And my mom’s support, Irina Alexandrovna (Viner. — Note from "SE"), and Alisher Burkhanovich (Usmanov. — Note from "SE") also helped a lot; I want to mention him too. Irina Alexandrovna called me every day, asking how I was doing and about my test results. When I was admitted to the hospital after the flight, my results worsened. Irina Alexandrovna was genuinely afraid to let me go; she wanted the doctors to come over. But my mom was pleading at the airport for me to be taken away. When she called and asked how I was, my mom told her the results were worse. Irina Alexandrovna was upset and said, "I knew it." The girls later told me that on that day, she entered the gym, gathered everyone, all the coaches, and said: "Dear friends. Nastya Bliznyuk is dying." There was a lot of sobbing in the gym. But, thank God, with the help of my guardian angel, faith in God, and everything combined, I am strong, and it all came together so that I continued to live, thank God.
