The second law, effective from the beginning of December, pertains to the licensing of telecommunications operators. The new requirements include the mandatory use of technical means to protect against threats during traffic transmission. In case of non-compliance, the license may be revoked.
Starting December 4, a ban on promoting child-free ideas will come into effect in the country. The law establishes a prohibition on disseminating information that "advocates for refusal to have children." The spread of child-free ideas will be prohibited on the internet, in media, advertising, and cinema. Violations will result in fines: up to 400,000 rubles for individuals, up to 800,000 rubles for officials, and up to 5 million rubles for legal entities.
New measures to combat money laundering will also take effect on December 30. Notaries will be granted the right to request necessary documents for identifying clients and their representatives, and will be required to report suspicious transactions to Rosfinmonitoring.
On November 23, a law came into effect in Russia that prohibits the adoption of children by citizens of countries where gender reassignment is permitted. This concerns 35 countries where gender reassignment is allowed without restrictions, as well as two additional countries where such procedures are only conducted for medical reasons. Additionally, as of November 23, a law imposing fines on legal entities for document forgery aimed at facilitating illegal migration came into force. The maximum penalty for repeat offenses will be 60 million rubles.
