"I'm in shock; I've lost a friend." Former Na-Na vocalist Vladimir Levkin will be buried on November 19. What did his colleagues say about him?

On November 17, Levkin passed away in the intensive care unit of Botkin Hospital in Moscow. He was 57 years old. The news of the musician's death was shared by his wife.

Levkin was hospitalized two days before his death

The musician was hospitalized two days prior with suspected pneumonia. He was placed in intensive care with a diagnosis of leukemia.

Journalist Vladimir Polupanov reminded that the artist was battling a severe oncological disease.

These are very severe patients, extremely vulnerable. Any acute respiratory viral infection could contribute to the process of cancer cell division.

A month before his death, former Na-Na soloist Vladimir Levkin appeared to be well and energetic, Polupanov reported.

According to him, in mid-October he met Levkin at the gala dinner of the Russian National Music Award "Victoria." Polupanov took a joint photo with the musician and arranged for an interview. Levkin was sociable and in good spirits.

In October of this year, Levkin attended a film premiere wearing dark glasses, which he refused to take off. At that time, he stated that he wore the accessory due to a previous surgery.

In 2003, the artist was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma. He underwent two bone marrow transplants, chemotherapy courses, and managed to overcome the illness.

Despite this, the artist continued to perform and participate in events until the end. His last solo concert took place on November 1 in Moscow.

Colleagues reacted to the musician's death

Russian pop singer Tatyana Bulanova described the former Na-Na soloist's death as unexpected.

For me, this is unexpected news and very sad.

Bulanova referred to Levkin as a wonderful and very positive person and expressed her condolences to the artist's family. She also recalled having crossed paths with the musician during filming in Moscow.

Former Na-Na member Valery Yuryn shared with "Gazeta.Ru" about their joint plans to hold concerts, calling Levkin a very talented and intelligent person.

We never fought; maybe there were minor disagreements, just ordinary domestic, touring nonsense. I'm in shock; I lost a friend.

Former producer and artistic director of Na-Na Bari Alibasov revealed that their relationship with Levkin soured after he left the group.

They had a significant falling out and did not communicate for ten years. Alibasov could not forgive the former soloist for leaving the group.

Levkin joined Na-Na at its formation in 1989, becoming one of the winners of the potential soloist competition organized by Alibasov.
