A friend of the late former soloist of "Na-Na," Vladimir Levkin, journalist and music reviewer Vladimir Polupanov, spoke with TASS about a possible reason for the artist's passing.
He reminded that Levkin was suffering from leukemia — he had been diagnosed with an advanced stage of the disease.
“These are extremely serious patients, very vulnerable. Any acute respiratory viral infection could have contributed to the division of cancer cells,” Polupanov pointed out.
The musician's death was announced on Sunday, November 17, by his wife. Levkin was 57 years old. According to available information, he had been urgently hospitalized a few days prior. The exact cause of the artist's death has not been disclosed.
Previously, Russian pop singer Tatyana Bulanova described the unexpected death of the former soloist of the "Na-Na" group.
