The honored artist of Russia and star of the film "Mary Poppins, Goodbye," Natalia Andreichenko, explained why she sent her daughter Anastasia for treatment in a psychiatric hospital. She shared this during the "Exclusive" program on Channel One.
According to the actress, her daughter began experiencing mental health issues during her school years. Andreichenko recalled an incident when her daughter woke the family in the middle of the night, claiming she had attacked people with a knife and that their bodies were on the second floor of the house. At that moment, the actress decided to call in specialists. "I had no other choice. She was taken away for a long time. Of course, she never forgave me for that," she said.
The star of the Soviet film admitted that she often lashed out at her daughter due to her mental issues. "I screamed: 'You’ve assaulted everyone, you’ve tormented everyone. Do you even realize that I haven’t slept in a month and ten days? I’ve gone crazy because every time I open my eyes, you’re standing over me with a knife. Do you even understand that you’re out of control?'" the actress recalled.
She added that her daughter is still undergoing medication treatment today. At the same time, Andreichenko noted that they maintain communication with each other.
