He noted that Magomed Isbakiev has become the thirteenth native of the republic to be awarded the highest title since the beginning of the special military operation. The officer died in the Kherson region while carrying out a combat mission, facilitating the regrouping of troops and eliminating over 200 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Major Denis Didenko, who personally knew Magomed Isbakiev, proposed the initiative for the award. During a meeting with the president, he requested that the title of Hero of Russia be posthumously conferred upon the fallen officer, highlighting his selflessness. Vladimir Putin agreed with the suggestion.
Magomed Isbakiev is buried at the federal military memorial cemetery in Mytishchi. Sergey Melikov expressed condolences to the officer's family, stating that the republic's authorities would provide support to Isbakiev's relatives.
