The advisor to the head of "Krylya Sovetov" on youth football issues, Nikolai Larin, commented on the corruption scandal in Russian football during a conversation with "SE."
“I will say this: the statement was unusual. Fortunately for me, I am not familiar with the details of these proceedings; I am completely out of the loop. Is there a fear that sanctions could follow against 'Krylya'? I don’t know, and I don’t even want to think about it,” Larin told “SE.”
On November 26, the head of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, stated that "Krylya Sovetov" owes 36 million rubles in bribes to unnamed criminals involved in corruption within the Russian football referee corps.
On Thursday, the RPL clubs sent a letter to the governor of the Samara region requesting any available information regarding the alleged existing corruption schemes in professional football.
