The representative of midfielder Alexey Batrakov from “Lokomotiv,” Vladimir Kuzmichev, stated that the player’s salary is significantly below the ceiling set by the club.
It was previously reported that the club’s management established a maximum salary limit for players ahead of the current season.
“We will keep the figures private because it’s not entirely appropriate to disclose them regarding the player and the club. I’ll put it this way: he is still far from the ceiling. Alexey is a key player. We see this not only in his absence on the field but also when he drops back from the 'ten' position to a defensive role. The team's attacking play immediately diminishes. And when he missed a game due to card accumulation, the team was completely different,” Kuzmichev was quoted by “RIA Novosti.”
It was previously revealed that the club and Batrakov agreed to extend the contract under improved terms.
The 19-year-old Russian is a product of “Lokomotiv's” youth academy. In the current season, Batrakov has played 19 matches across all competitions, scored 11 goals, and provided 8 assists.
His current contract runs until the summer of 2027. The Transfermarkt portal values the player's market worth at 5 million euros.
